Terms and Conditions
Effective Date: 29/12/2025
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the services provided by DAP Couriers and Logistics Pvt. Ltd. ("DAPCL", "DAP", "we", "our", "us"). By booking, tendering, or handing over any shipment to DAPCL, the shipper, consignee, or authorized representative confirms acceptance of and agreement to be bound by these Terms.
1. Definitions DAPCL / DAP refers to DAP Couriers and Logistics Pvt. Ltd. Shipper refers to the person or entity booking the shipment.Consignee refers to the recipient of the shipment.
Shipment refers to all documents or parcels tendered under a single airway bill or consignment note.
2. Rates & Charges Applicable rates are as per DAPCL’s standard rate list published on www.dapcouriers.com or as otherwise agreed in writing.
Rates do not include customs duties, taxes, clearance charges, or any other import/export levies.
Any such additional charges shall be payable by the Shipper or Consignee, as applicable.
3. Weight & Volume Calculation Shipment charges are calculated based on the higher of actual weight or volumetric weight.
DAPCL reserves the right to re-weigh and re-measure shipments at any stage.
Volumetric Weight Formula (IATA Standard):
Length (cm) × Width (cm) × Height (cm) / 5000 4. Right of Inspection
DAPCL reserves the right, at its sole discretion or upon request of competent authorities, to open, inspect, or scan any shipment at any time without prior notice. DAPCL shall incur no liability arising from such inspection.
5. Documentation & Shipper Responsibilities The Shipper must provide complete and accurate sender and receiver details, including addresses, contact numbers, correct PIN/ZIP codes, invoices, permits, and waybills.
Any delay, loss, penalty, or service failure arising from incorrect or incomplete documentation shall be at the sole risk and responsibility of the Shipper and/or Consignee.
6. Shipment Cancellation Shipments may be cancelled only before they are handed over to the courier service provider, typically within 24 hours at authorized DAPCL locations.
Once the shipment is handed over to the carrier, cancellation requests will not be entertained.
7. Compliance with Laws The Shipper is solely responsible, at its own expense, for ensuring that shipments comply with all applicable customs, import, export, aviation, and destination country laws.
All required licenses, permits, and approvals must be obtained prior to shipment booking.
8. Transit Time & Delivery Delivery timelines provided by DAPCL are estimates only and do not constitute a guarantee.
DAPCL shall not be liable for delays caused by customs inspections, flight schedules, weather conditions, operational issues, or other factors beyond its reasonable control.
9. Claims & Reporting All claims for loss, damage, or mis-delivery must be submitted in writing within seven (7) days from the date of delivery.
Claims submitted after this period shall not be entertained and DAPCL shall have no liability.
Investigation Requirements (to be submitted within 3 business days):
Clear photographs of the damaged package showing extent of damage and visible weight. Clear photographs of damaged contents.
Items claimed must match the declared packing list. Photograph of the received shipment placed on a weighing scale with weight clearly visible.
10. Fragile & Delicate Items Items such as Puja materials, matapas, and other delicate or fragile goods are shipped at the Shipper’s own risk. No refunds or claims shall be accepted for such items.
11. Insurance Shipment insurance is optional and must be requested at the time of booking.
In the absence of insurance, shipments are transported entirely at the Shipper’s risk. 12. Force Majeure
DAPCL shall not be liable for delays, non-delivery, or refunds arising due to force majeure events, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, acts of war or terrorism, riots, labor disruptions, government actions, extreme weather, or airline operational issues.
13. Limitation of Liability In the event of loss, damage, or mis-delivery, DAPCL’s maximum liability is limited to INR 2,000 or the value mentioned on the DAPCL invoice, whichever is lower.
DAPCL shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses.
14. Refunds Refunds shall be processed only after investigation and confirmation by DAPCL that no discrepancy exists in booking information and that the cancellation or claim is genuine.
Applicable cancellation charges shall be deducted. Refunds will be issued via customer wallet credit, credit card reversal, or direct bank transfer within seven (7) working days of approval.
15. Returned Shipments If a shipment is returned due to:
Consignee refusal Incorrect or incomplete address Non-payment of customs duties or charges Government restrictions or regulatory actions
All return shipping, customs clearance, and associated costs shall be borne by the Shipper.
16. No Personal Liability Directors, owners, partners, and shareholders of DAPCL shall not be personally liable for any claims or liabilities arising from service failures, including errors, omissions, or representations made by employees, agents, or channel partners.
17. Prohibited Items DAPCL does not accept the following items (including but not limited to):
Firearms, weapons, ammunition, and parts thereof Explosives, hazardous, flammable, toxic, or combustible materials (as per IATA / ICAO regulations)
Narcotics, drugs, counterfeit or illegal goods Live animals, insects, or pets
Antiques, furs, pornography, or obscene material Bullion, cash, coins, precious or semi-precious stones (cut or uncut)
Human remains, organs, embryos, or ashes (except permitted human tissue as per law) Raw or unrefined hemp products and prohibited medicines Electronic cigarettes and components
Ivory,Mobile phones without valid IMEI numbers Postage stamps Any item prohibited under IATA regulations or laws of origin, transit, or destination countries
18. Governing Law & Jurisdiction All disputes shall be governed by the laws of India and shall be subject exclusively to the jurisdiction of Bengaluru, Karnataka.
19. Amendments
DAPCL reserves the right to revise or update these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. The latest version published on the website shall prevail.
